PRC's coaches have planned a full day of racing at the premier racing venue of the west and the championship course athletes will experience in spring.
Rowers need to be at the race venue no later than 6:45 AM.
If you are meeting at the boathouse to carpool to the race, meet at 4:45 AM.
7:00 AM Coaches/Cox’ns meeting.
We are not requiring that rowers meet at the boathouse before the race but do recommend using it as a central location to meet and get in carpools. Get your coffee ready (there is a Starbucks near the course luckily)!
Rowers will load boats during regular practice time on Thursday and unload boats during regular practice time on Monday.
Nimbus Flat State Park / Lake Natoma, Gold River, CA 95670 aka Sacramento State Aquatic Center (view map).
Water bottles, chairs, and sunscreen (looks like a hot and sunny day in Sacramento). It's a full day and with downtime for rowers and parents. There are beautiful trails in the park for walking, running or biking.
From Highway 50: Heading West from Lake Tahoe or East from Sacramento or San Francisco take the Hazel Ave. (Exit 21). Go North onto Hazel Ave. Make the first right hand turn in to Nimbus Flats California State Park. There will be a drop off zone for athletes and it is a short walk to the course. If full, follow signs to overflow parking.
Athlete/spectator parking is located at 11971 Foundation Place, Gold River, CA 95670 for $10 (cash only). Free Shuttles are available for athletes and spectators
Volunteers and Food Donations Needed
Our fabulous Hospitality Committee has planned a wonderful spread of breakfast and grilled lunch for athletes and parents. Parents, please volunteer to donate food, time or both: Sign up to volunteer here.
