PRC Masters

We are an adult rowing community at Lake Merced that welcomes all rowers over 18 - from former college athletes to complete beginners. We're an inclusive club open to everyone regardless of gender, identity, or experience level, united by our enthusiasm for rowing and commitment to growing together as individuals and as a team.

Experienced Rowers: Ready to join our regular training sessions? Start with a two-week trial membership for $50 to experience our programming and community before committing to full membership. Sign up here.

New to Rowing? Our Learn to Row program takes complete beginners to confident rowers in just two weekend sessions on Lake Merced. Master the fundamentals and join our community. Register here.

Drop-In/Visiting Rowers: In town for a visit? Join any scheduled session with a two week drop-in pass. Get your pass.

Membership: $215/month includes all weekly water and land training sessions, plus home regattas at Lake Merced. Young Alumni (ages 18-26) receive 50% off. Travel costs for away regattas billed separately as incurred.

Access & Equipment: Members enjoy access to our facilities including ergometers, weight room, and fleet of singles and doubles for independent training outside of team practices. Train on your schedule while pursuing your personal fitness goals.

Novice Squad:

For adult rowers in their first two years of the sport. Build fundamental skills while preparing to transition into our Recreational or Competitive squads (early advancement possible with coach approval).

Schedule: Choose mornings (Mon/Wed/Fri 6:00-7:30am) or evenings (Tues/Thurs 6:30-8:00pm). Sessions combine on-water technique with land training. Full gym access encourages supplemental training, optional home regatta participation, and 1:1 coaching available to guide your progression.

Recreational Squad

For experienced rowers seeking fitness, friendship, and the pure joy of being on the water. Train in a relaxed, supportive environment that balances technique development with the sport's wellness benefits.

Schedule: Choose morning sessions (Mon/Wed/Fri 6:00-7:30am) or evening rows (Tues/Thurs 6:30-8:00pm). Optional participation in local Lake Merced races, with coaches available for individual check-ins as desired.

Competitive Squad:

This dedicated training program welcomes rowers committed to pushing their limits, regardless of current fitness or experience level. We value dedication over credentials—if you're serious about improving, you belong here.

Schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Friday 5:45-7:30am, with optional Tuesday/Thursday evening sessions (6:30-8:00pm). Training plans align with the racing calendar and include on-water work, erging, and 2-3 individual coaching sessions per season to track your personal goals and progress.
