New to rowing? Start here. We'll teach you everything you need to know in a supportive environment designed for adult beginners. Within your first two years, you'll master the fundamentals and discover whether you want to row for recreation or competition. Train 3x/week in the morning or 2x/week in the evening, with full access to our gym and equipment. Ready to race? Join us at home regattas when you feel prepared.

Love rowing without the pressure? This squad is for experienced rowers who value fitness, friendship, and the pure joy of being on the water. Perfect your technique while enjoying scenic rows on Lake Merced. Choose morning (MWF) or evening (T/Th) sessions that fit your schedule. Race if you want to, or simply row for the love of it—it's entirely up to you.

Train 5x/week with structured workouts designed around the racing calendar. Work directly with coaches to set and crush personal performance goals. This is where dedication meets results.
Adult rowing at Lake Merced for all experience levels
Whether you're jumping back in a boat after years away or looking for consistent training, PRC Masters has a squad that fits your goals. We offer structured programs for recreational and competitive rowers, plus a dedicated learn-to-row novice track for beginners.
Seasons: Our program year is broken into three seasons - Spring, Summer, and Fall. Summer and Spring season allow for additional evening sessions.
Membership: Program Dues are $215 per month, billable per season for all participants. Membership includes weekly structured on and off water practice sessions, and participation in Lake Merced hosted regattas with away travel regattas bill supplementally.
Access/Equipment: Membership includes access to the boathouse ergometers, weight room, and the club’s fleet of small (1 or 2 person) boats outside of structured practice hours so that members can pursue individual fitness goals as their schedule allows.

what makes Pacific Rowing Club special, we'd love to have you join us on beautiful Lake Merced.
Experience morning rows as the fog lifts over the water or catch stunning sunsets during
our summer evening sessions. Our experienced coaches welcome drop-in rowers
for both short out-of-town visitors and two-week trial period before membership.
Morning rows: Mon/Wed/Fri 6:00-7:30am (watch the city wake up!)
Evening sessions: Tue/Thu 6:30-8pm (perfect summer sunsets)
