Summer Novice Development

This program is open to all youth 6th-12th grade. Each session runs for two weeks, Monday-Friday, from 8:30am to 2pm, and includes rowing in both small and large racing shells, land based physical training, video review, and nutrition. No experience necessary!

Novice Development includes an introduction to the sport of rowing, physical fitness development, and culminates in an intra-squad regatta. The coaching staff will regularly assess the rower’s progress and find fun and interesting new challenges for each athlete.

Just bring warm exercise clothes, and mid day snack, a desire to learn and have fun. To enroll, visit the registration page and fill our emergency release form (which you can bring to the first practice). You will receive conformation upon completion of registration and payment. Each two week session of Novice Development is a good introduction to the sport of rowing and will help prepare the any athlete new to the sport of rowing for Fall Season. The two week format there will be a high learning curve. The coaching staff will regularly assess the rower’s progress and find fun and interesting new challenges for each athlete

June 26th-July 14nd, 2023          Novice Development Session 2 (Week of 4th of July the 3rd-7th will be off)

July 17th-July 28th, 2023           Novice Development Session 3

July 31st-August 11th, 2023        Novice Development Session 4
